Professional real estate agents know exactly what it takes to keep the business going. Keeping in touch with your past, present, and future clients is the number one way to get new business, but when you are busy trying to keep up with your current transactions, who has time for marketing?

Sometimes you get so involved in other things going on around you, that the time you should be staying in touch with your clients and prospects just zips by and before you know it, you have closed your last transaction, and you have nothing in the pipeline. Getting on-going business is a continual effort and a stay-in-touch business. It is very well-known that if you don’t keep in touch with your clients and prospects, they will turn to another real estate agent. We all know there is a lot of competition and a slew of real estate websites. You want your clients and prospects to visit your website not someone else’s.
A good way to keep in touch is by blogging the latest real estate news. This effort does a couple of things for your website. One is focusing on certain keywords that will get you higher in the search ranks. Another is informing your prospects and clients that you have updated your blog and they should visit your website to get the latest news. This keeps your name in front of them at least once or twice a month, so when they need services, they will know who to call.
They may even refer your blog to people they know that are in the market to buy or sell a home, but that won’t happen if they don’t know about you. Yes, there are sources out there that will do this for you at a reasonable price.
